Haus Kathan is located in the sunny south of Austria, in the beautiful state of Carinthia. The B&B is nestled in the mountain village of Kamering, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. A place where you can truly relax and unwind.
There's so much to do and explore in the surrounding area. Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers can enjoy long hikes, bike rides, and/or SUP tours. The landscape features dense forests, impressive mountains, and crystal-clear lakes.
The house has all the amenities you need. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. There's a lovely playground in the B&B garden for children. A very large outdoor swimming pool is just a 5-minute walk away.
The sunny terrace and the stube offer the opportunity to enjoy a drink and the magnificent view over the valley between the Alps.

- Are you heading towards the Adriatic coast, perhaps to Slovenia, Italy, or Croatia? And are you looking for a good place to stay? Then Haus Kathan is the perfect place to take a break. From Utrecht, it's approximately 1,050 kilometers to Haus Kathan. The house is located parallel to the A10 motorway, so you don't have to take a detour. Take exit 146 (Spittal Ost) 10 kilometers before the house. The next day, after a delicious breakfast, you'll be well-rested and ready to hit the road again.

Meet Olaf and Chantal!
The house is run by Chantal and Olaf. We, a young Dutch family with two children, emigrated to Austria in 2021. Here, we found a more peaceful and pleasant life, which we'd love to share with you during your stay.
Naturally, we love nature. Whenever we get the chance, we go hiking, paddleboarding, or do other fun things in the area. We live a balanced life and value natural, high-quality food. We call it real food. That's why we ensure that you always get a fantastic breakfast at Haus Kathan to start your day.
